Crazy Taxi- Review
Here's another Dreamcast port. Well... technically it's an arcade to Dreamcast to Gamecube
port. Nevertheless, Crazy Taxi is an amazingly fun game that never fails my wild taxi driver within. (don't ask what that's supposed to mean)
Graphics/ Presentation
It looks the same as the DC version. Now, is that a blessing or a problem? You decide. Anyway menu's look like menu's (what?) and controls work quite well. Once in a while your car will get stuck and twitch. There's not much else to say...so I won't.
Gameplay
Controls are excellent (I said that already) and the task in the game is incredibly simple: Pick up people and take them wherever they want as fast as you can. That's a lot more fun than it sounds, let me assure you. Pick up and play arcade style gameplay makes this a good rental (after all it is an arcade game at heart). Most of the "crazy" maneuvers take some practice.
Replay Value
Not to much in this department. Minigames are cool but get boring after extensive use. There are four different cabbies that offer slightly different rides. But I just like to sit down and take one go at Crazy Taxi. This game wasn't really meant to be played a couple hours at a time.
Rating: Cool!!!
