NBA Street- Review By Jackcrap

Do you love the Harlem Globetrotters? Think sim b-ball games have crappy street modes? Do you like afros? If you said no to all those questions then you might want to waste your time reading this review (those of you who are staying are also wasting you time but oh well). NBA Street provides over the top dunks and crazy dribbling moves for the one and only Rucker Park experience.

Gameplay/ Presentation
This is a great pick up and play game but that doesn't mean you'll be great at it right away. Lots of different dunks and crossover fakeout moves keep the action realistic looking in a game to 21. Character models look good, facial details are nice, and the crowd is awesome at Rucker Park. The main mode is City Circuit in which you travel to different locations and play the NBA teams and matches against the local street kings. You also get to take a player from every team after you beat them. There is also Hold the Court mode where you can earn stuff for your created player.

Multiplayer

NBA Street has a very basic multiplayer mode. You verse someone. I would have loved to see a four player option. But it's still nice to play your team of allstars against your friend.

Replay Value

Creating a player is a cool little option that definitely helps in the replayability. Maxing out you players stats, weight, and height takes a long time. And of course there is multiplayer. But after awhile this game starts to drag. Although, I get sick of some games pretty fast so it is probably different for you...and my friend who can't get enough of this game for some reason.
